Our
3M
Scotchgard film is a
transparent 8
mil urethane film
covered with an
exclusive clear coat
layer, allowing you
to buff scratches
and blemishes from
the film. The clear
coat will retain its
luster long after
your installation,
so you can enjoy a
showroom look for
years to come.
Our
computer-designed
kits are
specifically
designed to fit the
year, make and model
of your vehicle. In
rare instances, a
pattern may not be
available for your
vehicle -
particularly brand
new models, models
older than about
five years,
motorcycles and
boats, but we can
engineer a custom
cut to protect your
vehicle. Have
a special area you
would like covered?
In most instances we
can custom design a
pattern to suit your
needs.
Installation process
AutoShield
Carolinas applies a kit using a wetting
solution and then
stretches the product into position. We use an alcohol-water mixture
to wash out the wetting solution and activate the adhesive.
Film warranty:
AutoShield Carolinas
offers a nationwide
3M
warranty.
The warranty states
that your
3M
Scotchgard Film will be
free of defects in materials and manufacturer including yellowing,
peeling, bubbling, or cracking-- for five years from the date of
purchase. The warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse,
accident or ordinary wear, nor does it apply to dents caused by
physical impact of rocks or road debris. It also does not cover
negligence by the owner or damage by car washes (such as using a
pressure washing wand).
REMEMBER: The
3M
Warranty is only
valid if the film is
installed
by a
3M
certified installer.
